In order to learn, you often have to copy the masters.
In this case, I tried to recreate “Beige Traditional” by Johannes Lindqvist (one of the best 3D artists and a personal inspiration of mine for years) to see if I could pick up a few things.
I know the result doesn’t quite measure up to the original, but I think I did learn something in the process. And that was the sole purpose of this exercise.
