Quick project I’ve finished these days, based on a basic design by JoyCG & Eva Gilar (she’s the “Fairy”). A useful collaboration in which we have hopefully learned something and/or improved our skills. As usual, 3dsmax, VRay, Marvelous Designer, eyeon Fusion & Motiva RealStereo for the anaglyph version. (Click on the images for a hi-res [...]
Hi! (in case there’s someone reading). This is a small project I finished last Christmas in order to test several techniques, tips and render engines. For now, this is the VRay version (Thea Render version soon to come, I hope) Other things I practiced were: modeling hard surfaces (which I’m not used to), playing with [...]
As I said on my previous post, I didn’t have time to go on “tourist mode” during Mundos Digitales 2012 in La Coruña, Spain. We spent 4 days all in a hurry. It was like: wake up-breakfast-conferences-lunch-conferences-night party …..and start over again. (No regrets at all, by the way ) But it’s a shame these [...]
Except for the last year, I’ve spent my last 4 summer holidays in Mundos Digitales, in La Coruña (Spain), the best conferences on Animation, VFX, Videogames & Digital Architecture in Spain. It was hard for me not to go last year, so I couldn’t miss this edition. But how can I summarize 5 days with [...]
Well, here I am with some R&D. In fact, it’s not even my own R&D, but my friends’ at MotivaCG. They’ve developed an incredible composition plugin for The Foundry Nuke & eyeon Fusion (and whatever composition software that handles OFX format). With it, based on an UNIQUE image, and using its Depth-Of-Field channel, you can [...]
Here you’ll find a preview of some props from the personal projects I’m currently working on, (or just improving), for several shots of my Demoreel. It is my intention to publish them as a “Finish this once and for all !!!” note to myself. This gallery will be updated as I work on the reel. [...]
It was founded in the year 25 BC, with the name of Emerita Augusta (meaning the bachelors – discharged soldiers – of the army of Augustus, who founded the city; the name Mérida is an evolution of this) by order of Emperor Augustus, to protect a pass and a bridge over the Guadiana river. The [...]
Now a small village in Badajoz, Spain, its origins can be traced back to the Prehistoric Age. Settled on a hill of strategic value, it was occupied by muslims and reconquered again in 1234. Famous for its dolmen (3º millennium BC) and its castle, even though only a small part of it stands still. UPDATE: [...]
Recently I (as part of Glow Animation) have finished a 3dsmax Visualization Training Course at Centro Tecnológico FEVAL, in Don Benito. Students have learnt how to use 3D Studio MAX & VRay from scratch (most of them had no experience with 3d software). From modelling, texturing, lighting,….to rendering & doing the post-production of several architectural [...]
Whoa! It was time I decided to build a new website. Here you’ll find a selection of my personal works. Well, some of my commercial works too, but just the ones I like the most. Hope you’ll like them. Thanks for watching.
One of those “not-so-typical” works I did at Claroscuro Digital : the restoration of an old hotel, mixing modern decoration with some antique style furniture & stuff. UPDATE 2013: New, updated & improved version. Here you have some frames from the upcoming reel (still in progress, I’m working on it, I promise )
After delivering this project for a client with a “clear-blue-sky-shiny-day” finish, I decided to work on the lighting & atmosphere, getting these results. Much better than the version the client wanted, in my humble opinion.
